A CUP-HILT RAPIER, the slender tapering blade (pitted) of flattened hexagonal section with two fullers on each face of the forte, each inscribed 'Lamber Tengo', iron hilt comprising a cup formed of a framework of slender bars incorporating two large concave shells, bent towards the hand and enclosing panels pierced and engraved with running foliage, all made in one with slender straight quillons, knuckle-guard and arms, later compressed pommel chased with foliage, and later wire-bound wooden grip, second quarter of the 17th Century, Spanish or Italian
