A DERBY OVAL TWO-HANDLED BOUGH-POT AND PIERCED COVER of shaped form, painted in a bright palette in the manner of Richard Dodson with three exotic birds perched on tree-stumps in a distance landscape scene within gilt line cartouches flanked by gilt rectangular panels enriched with fruiting-vine and with gilt foliage issuing from the foliage-moulded scroll handles (cover extensively restored), Crown, crossed batons and D marks in iron-red and incised No. 76, Robt. Bloor & Co., circa 1810
