A PAIR OF MEISSEN CIRCULAR TWO-HANDLED ÉCUELLES, COVERS AND STANDS, painted in the manner of Watteau with gallants and companions in landscape vignettes, drinking and strolling before arbours within scroll-moulded cartouches, applied with spreading branches of fruiting-vine, the écuelles with tied vine-stock handles and the covers with branch finials (restoration to both finials, minor chips to vine, slight rubbing to gilding), blue crossed swords marks to two écuelles and one stand, Pressnummer 21 to one stand, two écuelles and one stand with red inventory marks XII/No. 529, one indistinct, circa 1750
