A PALMYRENE LIMESTONE RELIEF, depicting the busts of a man and woman, the bearded man wearing tunic and cloak, resting his right hand as it emerges from his cloak across the centre of his chest above his left hand which emerges from the cloak, holding vertically between thumb and forefinger the schematized book-roll or 'schedula', the woman in long-sleeved tunic and cloak which she wears over her head and diadem as a veil, with her right hand held across her chest and grasping the looped fold of her cloak from beneath the left elbow, her left hand holds the veil at shoulder height, she wears a diadem across her forehead, 'dumbbell'earrings, two beaded necklaces each with a central ornament, and circular brooch on her left shoulder from which hang two opposed 'L'-shaped 'keys', the inscription well cut in monumental lettering reading:
"Iarhibola. son of Maqqai. Alas! Hagat daughter (of). Moqimu. his wife Alas!"
