Shaped-oval and on three openwork foliate scroll feet and with leaf-capped scroll handle and shaped matted rim, the body chased with panels of foliage, marked on base - 8in. (20cm.) long

Lot Essay

Lars (Lorentz) Boye is first registered as an apprentice with N. Lund of Stockholm in 1747. He became a master silversmith in 1762 and following his death in 1784 his widow continued to use his mark until 1794
