Small 4o (197 x 127 mm). Roman, italic and Greek types. Woodcut title border with terminal figures, cherubs, small view of Florence and Torrentino's device of the Medici arms incorporated at top center. (Title foremargin extended, single wormhole in lower title border and in lower margin of first 8 leaves, wormtracks in lower margins of R4-T1, patched on 4 leaves and catching a few letters.) Late 17th- or early 18th-century Parisian red morocco gilt, BOUND FOR THE COMTE DE LOMÉNIE DE BRIENNE, with his arms [Oliver 1077, fer 4] on sides, gilt spine, edges gilt (small scuff on front cover).

Provenance: Rassius Noëns (Franciscan, contemporary ownership inscription on title dated 1559) -- Henri-Louis or André-Louis, comte de Loménie de Brienne (1658-1743, binding) -- purchased from Thulins Antiquariat, Stockholm, May 1967.
