(Minor marginal staining at beginning.) 16th-century German blind-stamped pigskin over wooden boards, remnants of fore-edge clasps (some staining). Provenance: Bibliotheca Rieckiana (ownership inscription dated 1761 on front paste-down) -- purchased from Hamill & Barker, Chicago, 28 October 1987.
