cover 1841 (15 Dec.) entire letter from the Directorate of Police at Genoa (green cachet at lower left) to the Consul-General of Sardinia at Tunis, marked "franco fino ali, appredo di Malta" in green ink, showing two different despatch d.s., unframed "P.D." in red and a mainly fine strike of the black "Malta Post Office" (MPO-1a) with, on reverse, red Livorno transit c.d.s.; also another mainly fine strike on 1842 (22 May) entire used to Paris, just overstruck by black "10" h.s.; each a little worn along horizontal filing crease which is clear of the premier markings.
