Oval, the cover set with a pale blue and white cameo with a scene of the Judgment of Paris, with Venus receiving the apple from Paris, Hera and Athena in the background, the cameo claw-mounted, the base and sides with foliate garland borders on a textured ground, the grille bright-cut and pierced in a similar pattern
