A Meissen figure of a putto playing the hurdy-gurdy
Circa 1755, marked to the back with underglaze blue crossed swords
Gilt and painted in colours, modelled by Johann Joachim Kaendler as a young boy flanking a treetrunk, scantily clad in a lilac drapery enhanced with Indianische Blumen, holding a hurdy gurdy, on rocaille base (restoration to neck and a toe)
