Modelled by Johann Joachim Kaendler after a French engraving of 1739 la paysanne Savoyarde, painted in colours, modelled as a standing woman wearing; a black scarf, yellow blouse and lilac skirt outlined with fur, holding a cradle containing a baby, a young boy beside her holding her hand, wearing a green and yellow Turkish coat outlined with fur, a stick in his right hand, the oval base applied with flower branches
