Circa 1770, the top and base associated, the feet later, the cornice early 20th Century
The pierced fret-carved swan's neck cornice with foliate roundels, above a blind fret-carved frieze with a pair of astragal glazed doors enclosing three shelves, the base with additional later molding to the top, with slant lid enclosing an arrangement of pigeon-holes, drawers and document slides around a cupboard door, with tooled brown leather writing surface above two short and three long drawers raised on later bracket feet, the right document slide inscribed in pencil to the side James Hume/Sep. 27th 1902/Walkworth
