Collation: a6 A6 2a-i6 K8 l-z6 6 2A-E6 F4 (a1r title, woodcut, a1v tabula, A1r prologue, A3r book one, E4r Compendiosa consolationis resumptio, F4r colophon, F4v blank). 192 leaves. 46 lines of commentary and headline, table in 2 columns. Type: 6:63G (commentary), 7:80G (text), 10:155G (title and headlines). Woodcut of magister-cum-discipulis (Heitz-Schreiber 56), 2- to 8-line initial spaces, occasionally with printed guide-letter. (Some scribbles on pastedowns and title, small wormholes affecting a few letters in first 3 quires.) Contemporary half pigskin over wooden boards (polished), single brass fore-edge catch, remains of paper spine label; a Leipzig binding by Valentin Bormann, Schwenke-Sammlung Blattwerk 477 = Kyriss shop 104, stamps 1, 2. Provenance: marginal and interlinear annotations in a 16th-century hand.
