Collation: [1-510 610(2+1) 710 8-108 1110 128 13-1410 1510(9+1) 1612 1710 1812 19-2210 238 2410(2.9 and 3.8 disjunct) 2510(1.10 disjunct) 26-3110] (1/1r blank, 1/1v author's prologue, list of abbreviations of authors cited, 1/2r text, 18/12 blank, 31/9v author abbreviations repeated, 31/10 blank). 304 (of 306, lacking 1/1 (supplied in facsimile) and without final blank) leaves, with a slip inserted between 17/7-8 containing five additional lines of text on Gasophilacium. The B.L. copy has the same cancels in quires 24 and 25. 35 lines. Type: 2:119G. 3- to 6-line initial spaces, those on conjugates 5/1.10 and 2.9 filled with red initials, a few others in brown ink. (Some browning and foxing, small marginal wormholes in first and final few leaves only.) Contemporary wooden boards, later blindstamped roll-tooled leather spine (repaired), 2 brass fore-edge clasps (one piece detached but present), title written on lower fore-edge. Provenance: some contemporary marginal annotations; Bolzano, Franciscans, 17th-century inscription.

FIRST EDITION of this revised version, which contains an additional three-quire (16-18) section headed passio domini nostri ihesu [christi] secundum Matheum. D[omi]nica in ramis palmarum. The final leaf of this section (18/12) is blank, although BMC assumed it contained text since the copy there described lacked that leaf.
