2° (350 x 225mm). Title in red and black with hand-coloured woodcut portrait vignette, HAND-COLOURED WOODCUT ILLUSTRATIONS (including 12 portraits) and printer's device at end. (Occasional light browning and soiling.) Contemporary blind-stamped pigskin over bevelled wooden boards, dated 1570 in gilt on upper cover, the central panels of both covers overstamped in black with oval armorial of Hans von Zschier, dated 1574, clasps (rubbed, repair at foot of spine) Provenance: Hans von Zschier (binding); Franz Seybold (inscription dated 1818).
