Lot Essay

The baroque style of this screen, with its use of polychromed tooled leather panels can be attributed to the Florentine workshop of Mariano Coppedè. He established his La Casa Artistica in Chiesa di Santa Croce in 1875, showing at the International Exhibitions during the later years of the century.
