A PAIR OF MEISSEN (OUTSIDE-DECORATED) SWEETMEAT-FIGURES modelled as a man and woman wearing 18th Century flowered dress, reclining beside oval baskets painted with birds and scattered insects, on shaped bases moulded with pink, turquoise and gilt scrolls (restoration to his bowl, his right small finger lacking, damage to her left arm, hand and associated rim of bowl, chip to back of her robe), cancelled blue crossed swords marks, Presssnummern 145 and 72, incised 2858 and 2863, circa 1880
