Walter, Marquess of Ormonde and 18th Earl of Ormonde, K.P. (1770-1820), eldest son of John, 17th Earl of Ormonde and his wife, Lady Frances Susan Elizabeth, daughter and sole heiress of 1st and last Earl of Wandesford, married Anna Maria Catherine (died 1817), only daughter of sole heiress of Joseph Hart Pryce Clarke, of Sutton Hall, Derbyshire. The Marquess died without issue 10 August 1820 when the Marquessate of Ormonde and the Barony of Butler expired and the other honours developed upon his brother, James, 1st Marquess and 19th Earl of Ormonde, K.P. (see lot 56)
