the nickel plated bar movement jewelled to the hammers with bimetallic balance and lever escapement, wolf-tooth winding, repeating on two gongs by operating a slide in the band, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary dials for day and month, the seconds ring incorporating the date ring, sector for the moon at XII with lunar calendar, blued steel spade hands, the plain case with ribbed rim and bezel with cuvette, case numbered 210025, with extract from the maker's archives giving the date of manufacture as the 20 October 1890, case, dial and movement signed and numbered - 54mm. diam.
