A LARGE FRENCH SILVER DESK CLOCK
MARK OF E. HUGO, 19TH CENTURY
the oval base with a robust openwork foliate scroll and flower plinth foot, supporting a central clock with a 'Serves' style back plate, the clock is surrounded by four columns, each terminating in a cupid motif, supporting a platform for the figural handled bell, the clock flanked by two baluster vessels with detachable covers - 37cm (14¼ in).
