A Persian lacquer qalamdan
19th Century
painted with a central panel of a bird amongst flowers and foliage, surrounded by geometric bands of flowering designs -- 8 5/8in. (22cm.) long; and another lacquer qalamdan painted with a central portrait of a lady between gol-a-bolbol panels, the sides with boats in riverscape scenes -- 8 7/8in. (22.5cm.) long, (minor chips and restoration).
