the curved steel blade with gilt panels of calligraphy below the pistol shaped ivory handle, the wood sheath covered with black leather and with iron gilt inlaid mounts decorated with shaped cartouches of raised calligraphy -- 39½in. (100.3cm.) long overall, (damages to mounts and leather, old wear).
