Qajar 19th Century
the ewer of flattened pear shape with tall handle and spout, decorated with central roundels containing seated figures within calligraphic borders, the neck, handle, spout and hinged cover with further portrait roundels and calligraphy amongst scrolling arabesques, the basin and pierced liner with similar decoration -- the ewer 11 7/8in. (30.1cm.) high, (spout missing end, minor chips).
