Lot Essay

Similar examples to the present lot are illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, 2nd edition, pp. 99, 103, 107 & 109.

In addition to the case number being stamped to the inside, Patek Philippe wristwatches from this era frequently had the movement number stamped to the outside of the hinged back. The original stamps to the present lot are still clear and ledgible.
