woven with a central rosette of white wool with brightly coloured tear-shaped petals, with larger petals of green and black wool issuing from the centre, each one woven with palmettes, the rosette surrounded by pairs of boteh and a border of scalloped palmettes against a red ground, trimmed with brightly coloured harlequin borders, Kashmir, 19th century--206cm x 212cm
