A RARE HUNTING HOWDAH
Of teak with wickerwork panels, the forward ledge with a double ammunition tray to take both .577 and 20-bore rounds, the body of the Howdah containing four compartments for pairs of Howdah pistols

Some panels damaged and parts missing
This is the first howdah of its type to have passed through these Rooms. It is of excellent quality and would benefit from a sympathetic restoration
