A GEORGE III SCOTTISH SILVER TEAPOT
Maker's mark of Robert Gray & Son, Edinburgh, 1815
Urn-form, on fluted short circular base, the shoulder chased with band of alternate shell and bellflower on finely matted ground, the shoulder chased with circles, with double anthemion topped angular handle, with anthemion topped and acanthus clad squat, partly covered spout, the hinged partly raised cover with chased radiating foliate calyx and topped by beaded bud finial--5¾in. (14.6cm.) high, gross weight 32oz.
