A GEORGE III SILVER TEAPOT ON STAND
London, 1792, maker's mark of Peter and Ann Bateman, overstruck apparently by George Gray
Straight-sided elongated octagonal, two sides with shield form reserve within crossed foliate sprigs on reeded ground, within incurved scalloped, canted cornered rectangular, cartouche, one engraved with crest, repeated on the stand, with high loop wood handle, paneled straight spout, reeded rims, the hinged partly highly raised cover topped by pineapple finial--7¾in. (19.68 cm.) high, the stand on four fluted tapering supports--8½in. (21.59cm.) long, gross weight 27oz. (2)
