A GEORGE II SILVER TEA CADDY
Maker's mark of Samuel Taylor, London, 1750
Inverted pear-form, on raised circular base cast with flowering foliage, two sides with long ovoid cartouche, one engraved with coat-of-arms, crest and motto, the other vacant, linked at the shoulder by floral festoons, with decorated shoulder, the slip-on low domed cover topped by rocaille finial--5½in. (13.97cm.) high, 8.5oz.
