Maker's mark of Simon Jouet, London, 1752, the socket with small-worker's mark of Edward Stammers
Each cast, the corners of the rising, partly waisted, square base with rocaille enclosed asymmetrical cartouche linked by rocaille, continuing in shell ended knurled scrolls below the waisted baluster stem, the shoulder with graduated shell corners, with leaf between, with foliate girdled spool form socket rising--8½in. (21.5cm.) high, 48oz. (2)
