A FRENCH FIVE-PIECE SILVER TETÉ-E-TETÉ TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE ON TWO-HANDLED TRAY
Maker's mark of Lapar, circa 1900
Comprising teapot, long cylindrical, squat spout, coffee pot, hot water jug, two-handled covered sugar bowl and hot-cream jug, each partly fluted urn-form, on spreading base, with tongue-and-dart rim, with acanthus clad spout, and carved leaf clad bone scroll handle, the pots with hinged acanthus chased raised cover topped by beaded bud finial--the coffee pot 6in. (15.2cm.) high, the notched cornered tray with conforming rim and two up curved part-foliate handles, length over handles--20¼in. (51.4cm.), gross weight 78oz. (6)
