A DANISH AMBER AND CARNELIAN-SET SILVER COVERED BUTTER DISH WITH GLASS LINER
Maker's mark of Georg Jensen Silversmithy, post-1945, no. 44
With softly hammered finish, the bowed circular bowl on fixed stand on four ball supports, the rim incised at intervals, the rising, molded lobed domed cover quartered by chased broad radiating leaves each set with cabochon oval carnelian, topped by amber bead finial, with glass liner--6¾in. (17.1cm.) diam., gross weight 17oz.
