Pear-shaped, on a spreading circular base with gadrooning, the body engraved with coat-of-arms, crest, and motto, the rim with gadrooning, with reeded scroll handle, marked under bases, engraved with scratch weight 55=17 and 57=13

Lot Essay

The arms are those of Wilson quartering another as borne by Wilson of West Wickham, Kent. The arms are recorded as being confirmed at Edinburgh on July 20, 1762.
