MAKER'S MARK IL (GRIMWADE, 3652), LONDON, 1773

According to tradition, Billopp Seaman was the architect of the Shipp House in Newburgh, New York, which he built for Abram Lott.

Arthur Grimwade records a stirrup cup by the same maker of the same year (The London Goldsmiths, rev. ed., 1990, p. 260).
