With nickel-finished jewelled lever movement, bi-metallic compensation balance, inscribed gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, blued steel moon-style hands, the engine-turned circular case with hinged back, accompanied with wooden Jules Jurgensen presentation box, extra mainspring and crystal, case, dial and movmement signed.

This watch was presented by James Buchanan, the 15th President of the United States, to Captain P. E. Westman for the rescue of the crew of the American ship Helen.
