During the tumult of World War II, groups of Jews set sail escaping the horror persecuting them. Crossing the Atlantic, they were bound for the supposed safety of United States ports. The tragic circumstances from which they fled, the convoluted journey through which they traversed, and the uncertainty of their fate is captured uniquely by the artist's mastery.
