A PARCEL GILT SILVER TEAPOT, maker's mark of Gorham, circa 1880, marked Lion Anchor G STERLING C 29 M, bowed cylindrical, on short frosted base, the body and hinged slightly raised cover with facet hammered finish, two sides with frosted gilt arch enclosing applied flowering plant, with gilt band and flowers below, the shoulder with gilt band applied and flat chased with flowerheads and undulating foliage, on stippled ground, the bands within gilt reeded borders, with stiff leaf band above, with frosted loop handle, the highly upraised frosted spout, part engraved with foliage, and twice applied with reeded gilt gand, the cover topped by baluster finial--7¼in. (18.4cm.) high, gross weight 23oz.
