A FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, maker's mark of Joseph Lownes, Philadelphia, circa 1804, comprising teapot, two handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl, each oval, with ribs at broad intervals, on broadly panelled short oval base, three different sides engraved with a differing monogram with date below: 1804, 1890 and 1936, with bowed band to shoulder, the teapot with wood loop handle, swan's neck spout, the hinged, partly raised cover, topped by panelled covered urn finial--the teapot 7¼in. (18.4cm.) high, gross weight 68oz. (4)
