ATTRIBUTED TO RICHARD WITTINGHAM, NEW YORK, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Each with urn-and-ring turned finials above a reeded urn support over a sexagonal plinth above a circular base on double spurred arched legs with ball feet with curved billet bars with pierced brass screen and faceted ball-and-spire stops on tapering cylindrical legs; together with a shovel and tongs with similar ring-and-urn turned finials--the andirons, 21in. high, the shovel 32in. high
