Impeccable appearance. Magnum numbers: 295 & 296. These magnums are part of the same batch sold at Christie's in April 2000. The magnums were released specially from the Domaine in 1999 for an extraordinary dinner held at the Château de Chantilly in France to celebrate the millennium.
Parcel: lots 627 to 628
Tasting note: Certainly the richest and sweetest of the '71 DRCs on the nose, after only minutes in the glass, opulent, holding well for well over 1½ hours. On the palate distinctly sweet, full, richly flavoured. A vast, complete wine, packed with fruit, with great length and flowery aftertaste.*****M.B.
