An original 1939 agreement between Selznick International Pictures and George Bessolo for his portrayal of Stuart Tarleton (for which he was paid $50 per week); signed in black ink George Bessolo. Together with a letter signed by Mr. Bessolo in which he agrees to have his hair dyed for the role (for which he was paid $108.34); a memo informing Selznick Pictures that Warner Bros. had changed the actor's name to George Reeves, and two press releases regarding the casting of the Tarleton Twins. Mr. Reeves would go on to portray "Superman" in the popular television series. (5)
