The carpet offered here was possibly woven by the Kashkuli, one of the tribes which form the Qashqa'i Federation. Another Qashqa'i carpet, albeit with a reverse border/field color scheme, more usual smaller size and less spacious drawing than the offered lot, can be seen in Thompson, Jon, riental Carpets, New York, 1983, p.17.
