A FOUR CASE LACQUER INRO
EDO PERIOD (18TH CENTURY)

Decorated in gold and black takamaki-e, hiramaki-e, nashiji and inlaid aogai on a roiro-nuri ground with overlapping large and smaller lotus leaves, the interior cases dense nashiji--2 5/8 in. (6.8 cm.) high, some losses to aogai and nicks and scratches
