A GROUP OF YORUBA TWIN FIGURES, Ibejis, Nigeria; of typical form, arms carved free from body, hands resting on hips, all standing on circular bases; a pair consisting of a male and female with linear coiffures in low relief and overall dark brown patina; three singles, of which the first is wearing bead ornaments around waist, arms and neck, metal inlaid eyes as well as reddish-brown patina; the second single wearing cowrie shell necklace plus beads on waist and ankles; the last single with tall coiffure, and smooth red patina on body- 8¾in. to 11in.
