The first mark of James Gould, London, 1738; the second London, 1736, mark indistinct
Each on shaped square stepped base with canted corners, rising to a knopped stem and circular spool-form socket, the 1738 example engraved with monogram SLS on base, each marked under base, the 1736 example also marked on socket and with scratchweight under base 4=0
The first 4 1/8in. (10.5cm.) high, the second 4¼in. (10.8cm.) high; 7oz. (229gr.) (2)
