A BELLE EPOQUE DIAMOND AND PEARL PENDANT WATCH WITH ASSOCIATED NECKCHAIN
With nickel finished jewelled lever movement, the dial showing a hand-painted dancing nymph on a blue ground with Arabic numerals and blued steel moon-style hands, the reverse depicting a classical garden scene, within concentric rose-cut diamond and seed pearl surround, to the associated diamond and pearl fancy-link neckchain, watch circa 1910, 48.0 cm.

Fernand Paillet was born in Niort, France circa 1840 and died in February 1918. A pupil of Carrier-Belleuse, he mainly painted portraits on enamel, porcelain and in watercolour. He exhibited at the Salon de Paris from 1873. He worked in the Sèvres factory from 1879 through to 1888.
