Circa 1750, the Meissen pug and birds circa 1750 and modelled by Johann-Joachim Kändler, the flowerheads largely French soft paste porcelain circa 1750, the lacquer Japanese and early 18th Century
The Japanese lacquer pot-pourri vase and cover decorated with gilt shrubs, butterflies and rocks and similarily decorated to the interior of the lid, the pierced frieze mounted with flowerheads and ormolu leaves, the whole surmounted by a flowering platform with a seated pug, the pierced scrolled handles with poppy-head terminals, on a concave-side rocaille triangular plinth with robins to each corner and further flowering branches between, on a C-scroll and acanthus carved foot, with typed collection label S24
