A PAIR OF LOUIS XVI ORMOLU TWO-BRANCH WALL-LIGHTS
Circa 1780, possibly North European
Each with a flaming urn finial and a roundel embossed frieze above three bacchic masks flanking fluted upscrolled arms with stiff-leaf collars and reeded cylindrical nozzles and beaded lower drip-pans, with a reeded back and stiff-leaf and cone pendant finial, drilled for electricity to drip-pans and nozzles, originally probably swagged with chains around the central mask
