The rectangular molded top above a tambour door opening to a sliding gilt-tooled leather-lined writing surface with a central reading surface and fitted with a central cabinet door flanked by satinwood-veneered pigeonholes and two drawers, the case with a long drawer flanked by two graduated shorter drawers, on square tapering legs ending in brass block feet and casters, the back veneered, the handles replaced, one drawer stamped 0841
