AN UNUSUAL SMALL SANCAI-GLAZED POTTERY FIGURE OF A BACTRIAN CAMEL
TANG DYNASTY

Standing foursquare with head raised and turned to the left, the body covered in pale yellowish-amber glaze, with a straw glaze used to highlight the deeply scored patches of heavier fur on the neck, sides and humps, the oval blanket fitted over the humps with a fringe border and splash-glazed in amber, green and straw glazes
